Therapy of varicose veins and skin lesions: Neodymium laser therapy that incorporates the Quantum DL is indicated for the medical treatment of telangestasias and superficial varicose veins of the legs. In this therapy, a special device is used to send laser energy onto the skin of superficial varicose veins. The treatment is carried out in a sequence of pulses, the laser energy is absorbed by the blood from the veins, causing them to heat up and close. After treatment the vein is reabsorbed and disappears.
This treatment can be combined with chemical sclerosis of varicose veins, also available in our center.
Varicose Sclerosis
The treatment of sclerosis consists of introducing a very fine needle with which a medicine is injected that produces an inflammatory reaction in the walls of the microvarix, causing the vein to close and the varicose vein to disappear as such. Only at the time of injection the patient will notice a slight burning sensation that will disappear in 15-20 seconds. The treated varicose veins will present a redness that disappears within 4-8 weeks during the following days.
